Unlike traditional barber shears, thinning shears are used to remove the "bulk" of hair without altering the style. Single-sided thinning shears are ideal for thick or curly hair. Double-sided thinning shears are best when used to remove only small amount of hair per pass.

The thinning shears from Hobby Tool Supply are made from ice-tempered stainless steel and tested on sterilized human hair. The handle features a finger rest and rubber lined hole for added comfort and reduction of hand fatigue. Includes a plastic sleeve.
